The clients of this project were purist lovers of Mid Century Modern. “We are not afraid of colour and we want lots of it! Its likely not the mainstream of what people want but we do.” was their statement. 

They absolutely wanted a house that harkened to those Palm Springs, Rat Pack, Mad Men, mid-century beauties with multi coloured tiles and countertops, tweedy upholstered furniture, wood accents, iconic lighting and furniture pieces. In addition the house had to accommodate multi use for accessibility using a walker and wheelchair without looking like it did. Strategic floor plans, space planning and finish selections as well as furniture, accessories and lighting brought their dream to life. The result is a bungalow that is functional in all respects, feels warm, fresh and inviting and honours that Mid-Century vibe they love so much.
